This Toothbrush is on us!

Bremerton families learned about Smile Partners’ dental hygiene program at the district's annual Back-to-School Fair on Tuesday. Smile Partners' staff handed out more than 1,500 toothbrushes and lots of information.

The annual event was twice as big as last year! It will help students get their backpacks ready for the 2016-17 school year and gave their parents information about special services and programs.

In addition to the brightly colored tooth brushes, Smile Partners’ four staff members also handed out brochures about the organization’s preventive dental hygiene program -- offered at all six Bremerton elementary schools -- along with pamphlets teaching proper oral care.

The Bremerton School District is one of four Kitsap County school districts where Smile Partners works. We have a growing presence in North and Central Kitsap, and will be serving the entire South Kitsap School District for the first time this school year. In all, Smile Partners served nearly 10,000 low-income school children in the Puget Sound area last school year.

Smile Partner staff at the fair included Kim Levin, Personnel & Program Manager; Christine Carr, Community Engagement Coordinator; Sarah Sagester, Clinics Coordinator; and Renee Hoem, Administrative Assistant.
